Torchwood (spoilers)
Okay, it's now the fourth time I've watched episode eight, and therefore the fourth time I've watched the "lots of things you can do with a stopwatch" exchange between Ianto and Jack, and I still can't work out what they're on about.

Ideas?

It's out of character for Ianto, given he was so broken up over his girlfriend.

As was said else LJ, is everyone in Torchwood shagging someone else in Torchwood?

If it wasn't so out of character, that's what I'd be thinking. With the characters reversed, it would have made perfet sense.

Why can't Ianto be looking for casual fun sex that's not anything like what he had with his girlfriend?

He doesn't want to marry Jack. Sex is a stress-reducer and he's certainly stressed enough.

Who says we're watching this in real time? Could be months since the cyber-girlfriend incident.
Or maybe Jack just slipped him some Forgetamine and a slash of Nohypnol?

We're told a couple of times within the episode that it's three months since Suzie died. We have to assume that the episodes are in chronological order... do we? If so, then Cyberwoman is more recent than that.

Hm, I either have an evil mind, read too much slash or just have a fertile imagination - take your pick!

1. Drop it down the back of someone's neck.

2. Use the cord to tie their wrists.

3. Time how fast they can strip.

4. See who can come fastest.

5. Use the knob as an interesting texture.

6. Use the cord to tie around a certain piece of anatomy where the watch itself becomes a useful weight...

7. This one's unprintable and requires the use of an extra gadget in any case, but it would be fun to watch...

8. Use it as a pendulum for hypnosis.

9. This one would probably risk damage to the stopwatch.

10. This one is not recommended for health and safety reasons!

11. Require certain actions to be done at a particular pace. Call out strokes/thrusts every x seconds.

I'd guess they probably had 4 or 11 in mind, but I know which one I'd prefer to watch!

Dang, I need a suitable icon for filthy thoughts. Any suggestions?

I'm thinking press ups, Jack obviously works out! It was meant to be ambiguous and you're meant to watch it four times to try and figure it out! Incidentally I'd watch Captain Jack doing pretty much anything four times at least, but your motives might be different from mine...
