Last time my dentist gave me half a crown - he seems to think this is a good idea, keeping more of the tooth for longer - or is it simply that it has fallen off and had to be re-glued every 4 months or so, and despite it supposedly being under the guarantee, it is now going to cost me 14 quid each time (- possibly with weaker and weaker glues every visit...).
