Car misbehaving... [Jun. 29th, 2009|04:44 pm]
Douglas Spencer
My car has developed an electrical fault. It still goes, but it claims to have no ABS and no airbags, and it can't work out how hard to blow the fans.

It's booked in for Monday morning, the 6th. I may be doing more walking than usual over the next few days.

Don't know if you've tried this but have you googled to find the "reset" routine of door-handle clicks for the electrics? I took my Mondeo in once only to have the guy charge me £60 to do this and I'm sure *someone* could've posted it. Worth a try?

"no ABS and no airbags"
This is to go with the "no power assisted steering" which is intermittent, cutting out when you actually need it!
Tell the car it's only supposed to blow the bleeding doors off - that should sort that...

Of course being so super-fit, being so big and strong and full of muscles, I never notice whether the power steering is working correctly or not.
