Straight No Chaser [Dec. 11th, 2009|09:13 am]
Douglas Spencer
This is a message for those types who are familiar with the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, and wonder if there's anyone in Indiana who do something similar... but without ukuleles.

Also good for anyone who, in the words of georgiamagnolia (to whom be many thanks for the link), is trying to find their missing holiday spirit.

Straight No Chaser: The Twelve Days of Christmas.

Great stuff. See related videos too.

I LOVE Straight No Chaser! I discovered them a few years ago, via this same vid, and...yeah! They're so cool, and I hadn't bothered to play this yet this year. Thanks for the link! :-)

*has no Christmas icons*

No Christmas icons. Jewish, remember? (Though I do have fannish Christmas ones some years.)

*burst out laughing*

Oh, dear. Knowing that song, and its sequel (but NOT the lesser-known, and to me, less-funny, "Part 3"), by heart, I have to say...Mr. Diamond did, in fact change one line. *continues giggling*

Icon: Paul Michael Glaser (born Jewish, not sure what he is now) as Detective David Starsky (probably Jewish in canon, definitely Jewish in fanon). Oh, like you didn't know I was that much of a dork! *g*

*wanders off, pondering if Captain Kirk and/or Mr. Spock from Star Trek (Reboot) are Jewish...and if that means she should date them*

Oh my word - that's fun. Like brisingamen I'm most unfestive at the moment. Too much to do to the house, no money, etc.
