Attention, those of you who came to the housewarming party and stayed in nearby hotels. Are there any particular recommendations we can pass on to future visitors, either for places to stay or for places to avoid?

The Mosborough Hall hotel was fine. Only 10-15 minutes walk from Halfway if you cut through Hollow Lane footpath. The room was nice and large, very clean. No air con but there was a fan in the room. They apparently have a lot of weddings but we didn't have any problems with the one that coincided with your party. The breakfast was ok but made to order quite slowly and would say on the pricey side.

Would certainly be willing to recommend it to people visiting you.

Agreed: we didn't try breakfast, but our room was looking out onto the building where they seemed to have the weddings, and there was no noise.

I didn't make it to your party but have previously staed in a pub which I think was the Red Lion at Todwick(?) which I very much liked. I don't think it is too far from yours.

The place I stayed was good - comfortable bed, other guests and the landlady and her husband were lovely, and the breakfast was great. Recommended, would stay again ;-)
