What we did today [Jan. 8th, 2012|06:02 pm]
Douglas Spencer
My car, as featured in this icon and which I've owned new from June 2002, is being retired. It's nearly ten years old, it's done 160,000 miles, and it wants about £1200 spent on it in order to get through its next MOT, which is due at the end of February. That's more than I want to spend on it.

So today we went shopping. And in a couple of weeks we should be taking delivery of a new car, which is terribly exciting. Maybe some of you will get to act as passengers in the fullness of time. We've deliberately chosen a car which can fit normal full-sized adults into the back seat comfortably.

As before, my previous car is off to Devon to see if my brother and his son can find something useful to do with it.

In a few months we should be replacing Julia's car too.
