DangerCon

Question about language.

Consider these three:
1. "I don't want to cause [noun] to become [adjective]"
2. "I want not to cause [noun] to become [adjective]"
3. "I want to cause [noun] to become not-[adjective]"

How obvious is the distinction between the meanings of these three sentences? Would the particular meaning of any of them be ambiguous if the particular sentence were used in isolation? Could I chose better examples to illustrate the same point?

No, not really a random question.
