Milestone
Prompted by a car-related post from elsewhere on my friends list, it's worth noting that yesterday afternoon my car turned over 60,000 miles. It's a few days short of four years old.

Other people writing about Susan
A lot of people have been writing about Susan. At some point I'll provide a list of links.
sammy3ox, her brother, asked me for some words for her obituary, for the Sunday papers. One of the sentences I suggested might be added read "She often encouraged others into trying to write, and was always pleased to help them improve their work."
That's not a particularly eloquent sentence. Other people could say it better, I thought.
And so it proved. Things are said here that I can't find expressed nearly so eloquently anywhere else.
