Since I write so frequently about the things I do and about how these things make me feel -- things like SF fandom, like Chat with scarlatti, like work -- I thought I should write about how the various seasons in the Church make me feel too.
Since I write about things I care about -- things like pervery, poetry and food -- I thought I should write about my Church life too.
In SF fandom we have a calendar. Mecon, Eastercon, ASFCitEMBH, picocon, Worldcon, Octocon, Novacon. Each of these events has a characteristic feel, a characteristic flavour, and it conditions how you feel.
In the Christian Church we have a calendar too. Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, Ascension, Pentecost, Trinity. Each of these, too, has a characteristic feel and flavour, and each has its effect on my mood.
Over the coming year, I'll be looking at these events as they come to pass. Each post in this series will have a title with "[LC]" at the beginning, to signify their content. And each will have a new icon, since they upped the limit on userpics.
It'll be an interesting exercise.
