Pauline's job, my job

The office manager's post was made redundant just before I went on holiday.
I may have said to some of you in person over the last few weeks that my boss is going insane -- this must be the latest symptom.
She is the only person -- the only person -- in the company who ever does any administration. Six techies and an office manager. Just imagine.
Now what's going to happen? No expenses, no overtime, no-one ordering, no-one doing invoices, no-one paying the suppliers, and no-one keeping everyone's calendar up-to-date. Golly -- who's going to do the salaries? It'll be just like it was before she joined the company, which will be appalling.
The real pity is that I love the work. Give me a server, a router, a firewall, a handful of workstations to bugger about with and I'm as happy as a gimp in rubber. But I can see the administrative side of the company ending up in a real mess very very quickly.
The other real pity is that, looking at the other engineers, as the company gently collapses I'll be the last person besides the insane boss and his partner to be offered redundancy. Is this the worst of all possible worlds?
I do servers. I do routers. I do firewalls. I don't do admin, or people, or office politics, and I hate this situation.

Thanks for the advice about the CV earlier, all of you.
