Doctor Who: The Age of Steel

Just watched this.

Yes, there were clumsy only-just-sequiturs. Yes, there were wasted opportunities for potentially good scenes. Yes, there were tired old plot devices, lazy exposition, unscientific science. Yes, there was the Deus-ex-TARDIS escape from last week's cliffhanger.

And Trigger-as-supervillan doing the Monty Burns line? Oh dear me.

But it was excellent. And it redeemed the slightly-duff previous week. And some excellent moments from Mickey, incuding the disabling of the transmission control, and the blue-van/yellow-truck duality moment. And it's made me type altogether too many sentences which start with conjunctions.

"I know it's not easy, but I'm a different man, I'm not replacing him. Fancy going to Paris?" Aww...

Right, watching Doctor Who Confidential now.
