Nigella [Aug. 22nd, 2006|08:35 pm]
Douglas Spencer
I'm watching "Nigella Bites", on the UK TV Food channel. The stepson wanders in, sees what I'm watching, and says "no-one watches this for the food."

Naturally, I protest. I explain to him that I'm definitely watching the programme in order to pick up new ideas I can use in the kitchen. I suggest that he watches for a few seconds, so that he can see what I mean.

At that moment, what does Nigella choose to say?

"You want trashy? Boy, can I give you trashy."

I knew what the recipe was going to be before I clicked the link :)

I have a huge gammon soaking in water right now, to cook in coke tomorrow - she's right; it has no business working, but it *does* work.

I shall be taking it to geoffcampbell's annual Summer Camp tomorrow, along with a vat of choccy moooooooooooose and some home made bramble vodka.
