Or, more accurately, Susan's benches.
Well done everybody, and thank you.
Doug, there were many reasons that I didn't donate anything for Scarlatti's bench (I'm sorry, but that's the name I'll always think of her as), but now, looking back upon it, none of them seem good enough. I dearly want to contribute to her memory somehow. Do you have a suggestion for where I could make a donation? I remember you suggested Marie Curie Cancer Care a bit ago; does that still stand as the preferred charity? *sends Doug hugs, all her love, and her many good memories of Susan*
Thinking of you and Susan always,
And shortly, I will stop procrastinating and go and read that tab that's been sitting there quietly for the last hour and a bit....
Are you going to go and visit them? Are we?
We are. Don't know when yet -- when the benches are complete there will be a dedication for them.
Ok. The idea of there being snow there is both pretty and terrifying...!
Let me know when you plan to visit. I will be sure to arrange time to be there as well. I look forward to spending time and getting to know you.
Thank you! Do you know when the second bench will be in place, yet, or is it weather and spare time dependent?
The second bench was supposed to be in place on Susan's birthday (11/28), however 18+ inches of snow has delayed the project. I imagine in the next few weeks it should be in place. As soon as I hear anything fom momesto
I'll post it.
I am absolutely terrified by the idea of being anywhere with 18 inches of show, so I think the delay is all to the good!

it's beautiful. :)
wishing you much strength and good thoughts today.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I am glad we could contribute (I didn't send a donation through you; I still have a US bank account so I sent it that way instead of having you to collect the money in sterling and convert it) and the spot looks lovely.

Thank you so much for doing this. It was a lovely birthday tribute to Susan.
