[timekeeping] Oops... [Dec. 10th, 2006|11:15 am]
Douglas Spencer
I woke up, didn't look at the time, and started reading LJ.

I just spotted the time against a comment I posted, and I realise that Church started a quarter of an hour ago.

Haha-yes. I meant to have a lie-in today, but my alarm went off at half eight, due to a crap accident. I was so in the mindset of not going this morning that I've only just realised that I could have easily made Mass if I'd thought of it!

And at twenty-five past ten my father yelled from his bedroom, "FUCK! The service starts in five minutes!" I poked my head around the door just now, curious as to why he hadn't left, and he was wearing a pair of trousers and holding a t-shirt, sound asleep sideways across the bed...

My Granddad Holden was a church organist too. I only have one memory of meeting him though as he died when I was about three years old.
