Today I've had a day at the server farm, mucking around with the systems that look after the Avdar service, my email, and a small handful of websites. If you were anxious about something I'm hosting on your behalf, I've stopped mucking about with it now, and it should be stable until I have another play late next week.
The server farm lives at the very very opposite end of the M3 motorway from me. That meant that this morning I drove about 70 miles through almost solid rain and howling gales, and this evening I drove about 70 miles through lane closures, vehicle repairs and carriageway debris. It was the wrong kind of entertaining.
Other people on my friends list have had lots of weather too. I see that some of you have had to make alternative arrangements when your journey became impossible -- I hope no-one found themselves in an irretrievable situation.
I'm home again now. Best of luck to the rest of you.
