Erm. No real surprise here. [Jan. 21st, 2007|11:33 pm]
Douglas Spencer
I've seen various people here doing an "Ultimate Bible Quiz", with scores in the seventies or eighties.

Here's what I got:
You know the Bible 100%!

Wow! You are awesome! You are a true Biblical scholar, not just a hearer but a personal reader! The books, the characters, the events, the verses - you know it all! You are fantastic!

It wasn't particularly difficult.

I rated 77%
Which isn't bad, since I last read the bible when I was 11 (I discovered Alan Garner at 11 and realised I wanted to be a Celtic Death Goddess when I grew up, that was the end of A grades in RE and Sunday School).

That's the third 100% I've seen so far. Like I said, I was disappointed with my results.

91%, which isn't quite as good as your perfect score, but isn't too bad for a devout agnostic with vaguely taoist leanings, I guess. (I'm tempted to suggest, therefore, that actual Christians who score much less than 90% should perhaps do a bit more reading.)

I got 77%. Too many easy questions, too many questions where there was an obvious right answer. I've managed to forget everything I learned from two semesters of Bible study in college.

Yep, 100%. Though I did have to double-check which book followed Colossians, but I probably earn extra points for not having to move from my seat to do it and having a dozen or so different translations from which to choose. And I was right anyway.

I got 100% too, without much thought. But then, theology is half of my degree, so I really should know the sort of things they asked.

I got 90%, which is surprising as the last (and only) time I read the bible I was about 10.

You're certainly right about it being easy. By the time you eliminate the obviously silly answers, several questions only had one answer left.

I know the Bible moderately well, but there's no way an athiest like me who hasn't touched the Book in over a decade should get 92$

You know the Bible 92%!

100% - and it's several years since I opened a copy (though I've got two or three around somewhere - one that I've had since childhood, the others being ones I've inherited and wouldn't want to chuck out). Admittedly, that included a couple of lucky guesses - but several of the questions effectively only had one answer once you discounted the answers that couldn't possibly be biblical.

Another 100%, although there were several that I wasn't confident about. One I only knew because of something that was asked on University Challenge recently.

I got 90%, not bad as an atheist though as I still know most of the standard Catholic Mass off by heart I was a little disappointed.
