Snow [Feb. 8th, 2007|07:18 am]
Douglas Spencer
We have snow.

It's like the weather decided it would give us snow because it felt it ought to, but its heart wasn't really in the job. We don't have the crippling amounts that were predicted -- it's settled on the grass but melted on the tarmac, for example.

Perhaps it's worse at the BBC TV Centre, or at newspaper offices.

Or sitting in a huge drift just in front of hawkida's train.

You'd think someone would have spotted that before they set off.

We have snow. It's cold and wet and really not a good idea to go out there in bare feet :)

We'll see if there's still snow outside on Saturday.

We have about an inch or so in Wokingham. Since I'm heading over your way, I'm hoping my trip to the office from the station isn't too bad. What the snow does seem to have effectively brought to a standstill is the National Rail Live Departures web pages, so instead I am listening out for trains passing by the bottom of the garden. Ooh. I think I just heard one go by.

We have lots here; several inches which is really very rare in London proper.

We've got about two inches here in East London.

The bit that makes me laugh is on the BBC website where it warns that temperatures could 'plummet' to -3 overnight.
