Departed Merit [Jan. 2nd, 2009|09:10 pm]
Douglas Spencer
Just got this email from W.Bro Secretary:
It is with deep regret that I inform you that I have today, received a letter from Mrs. Carol Morice, reporting the death of her father, W/Bro. Henry Chapman, on 26th December 2008.
As you will all be aware, our Honorary Brother was aged 100, residing with his wife at Lord Harris Court, Sindlesham.

I didn't know him well, but I rather liked him. He was initiated in 1950, and now that he's gone Brother Secretary is our longest-serving member.

Ah well.
