It seems so unfair... [Jul. 2nd, 2009|02:26 pm]
Douglas Spencer
Julia and I, as has already been reported, are clearing up.

We've just found a little tin full of hooks-and-eyes, suitable for someone who does dressmaking. There's a picture of two people on the lid of the tin.

Julia looked at the picture. "Is that Mrs Simpson?"

I glanced over. "No. They didn't do souvenirs of Mrs Simpson. They really really didn't do souvenirs of Mrs Simpson."

I suppose, in a sense, all those coins with George VI's head on them were souvenirs of Mrs Simpson.

Ooh, alternate reality Edward and Wallis coronation souvenirs, very rare. Must have been from an antique shop near a temporal rift. Cardiff perhaps?

Ahahaha!

There's a fly (as in fly fishing) called the Mrs. Simpson which is apparently named after her.
