I have an American friend I watch Doctor Who with (on the computer, with an AIM window open beside it for running commentary) and I'm waiting to watch it together. And not even Doctor Who can make me want to watch a football match, sorry.

Yeah... you do know that kick-off was after DW finished, right?

I watched DW live. Including the 'next week' bit that I normally skip. I then switched over to ITV and they obligingly started playing a few moments later.

I'm not interested in the World Cup, but I can't watch Who live cuz I don't have access to a live stream.

I don't have a TV here. I'm just glad my bf put the episodes from the past few weeks on DVD, so I can watch them on my computer next week.

I was watching the World Cup match, but had to turn off because of that annoying sound of the horns.

I'd describe it as "I've watched today's Doctor Who episode, and I've been astonishingly tolerant about the fact that it peripherally contains scenes of a football-related nature. The World Cup fills me with contempt."

Same!

I do hear that Smith wanted to be a football player first, though. He was very distressed when a back injury put him out of playing professionally.

I'm watching the game right now, but as I live in the US I can't really participate in the squee post until dl links are available because I was up until 2:30/3:00 this morning, and woke up at 9:00 so I was too lazy/tired to try to mess with streaming. :/

I warched Doctors Who and came upstairs afterwards to blog about it. Football is dull and annoying even when the stadium doesn't sound like it's covered in bees.

the ep wasn't football-centric - the Confidential on the other hand was painful

MTE. Never mind annoying!Maggie making Karen go 'ZOMGSKIENCE', the bit where they covered the Doc's footballing as if it were real was...urgh.

I watched neither, but that's because I was working until 7 and I didn't want to miss the beginning of Doctor Who. I don't like football so I didn't watch that either XD
