The problem with this sort of continua is that I rarely see them as a single dimension. Because you've put two criteria in I see it more like a two dimensional plane.

But then of course 10 buckets is probably too many as well :-)

Try googling for:

"my personality * me"
"my body * me"
"my mind * me"
"my brain * me"

This all relies on the (seriously dodgy) assumption that the way people talk represents the way they think (plus there's a ton of metaphor involved), but you can definitely see cases of people contrasting themselves with their mind or brain or body.

We discussed this a lot toward the end of my Science and Religion class when we got into the philosophy of mind. Not so much the personality aspect but the mind/body problem, definitely.
