Not the first sentence on that page, but the sentence best placed for comic effect:
    "What are you doing? he would scream, terrified and confused. "What in hell is this place? What the hell's going on?"

Well, the nearest fiction book is the same as last time I did this meme. So you get the nearest actual book...

"An empty statement in Java is written as a single semicolon."

... which is kind of sad really.

However the aforementioned fiction book had this sentence.

"The stairs were carpeted with a tastefully austere matting type of substance"
